tumblr inspirtation

I'm in the middle of finals right now so of course the only thing I want to do is paint my nails. Whoops!

I wanted to paint my nails pink today, but plain pink was just too boring. So instead I clicked around tumblr to find something and this is what I ended up doing.

Super simple. Sorry the pictures are terrible. I've yet to figure out how to take good pictures with my camera. It's a combination of an old Ulta nail polish called Flamingo and Essie Absolutely Shore. Then I just stuck some silver striping tape over the top of it all and topped it with a coat of Seche Vite.

I think the first picture is a more accurate representation of what Absolutely Shore looks like and the bottom picture shows off Flamingo better. Weird.

I'll get cracking on my picture taking abilities asap!

Art Deco Nails

Whoops. Clearly haven't even tried to keep up with this blog.

A friend linked me to a Buzzfeed article and it was filled with art deco nail ideas! Which got me thinking. And I realized that although I'd bought striping tape like three months ago, I hadn't actually done any fun manicures with it. And I haven't done any creative nail polishing in wayyyyyy too long. So without further ado... my gatsby inspired nail creations!!

I used a Revlon black nail polish as well as OPI's Glitzerland from their Switzerland collection. The finished result is topped with two layers of Seche Vite because I hated the bumpiness!

I love what you can do with two polishes and some striping tape!! So much fun to do and the payout is totally worth it! And I like that no two nails are the same!!

Snowflake

In between studying for my Contracts final, I decided to do a winter themed mani! So glad I found some time to actually sit down and do my nails!

I applied OPI What's With the Cattitude as the base. It's a baby blue with kind of spotty sheer coverage. This was three carefully applied coats because it has a tendency to kind of pool on some parts of my nail and be really sheer on other.

Then I used Julep Leighton and an Ulta Professional unnamed white for the snowflakes. A little bit tedious with a paint brush, but worth it! Also applied some glitter with a Kiss nail art paint and topped it all off with trusty Seche Vite!

My New Little Home

Welcome to my humble abode!

I've been addicted to nail polish for well over eight years now and I've decided to share it! Excuse me as I figure out how to do everything. Law school finals were probably not the best time to decide that I was going to become a blogger!
